I've installed a second battery in my 165 to help power a large amp. I've also installed an ACR that will isolate the batteries when the motor is off to protect the start battery and combine the batteries when charging (i.e. engine running). Any one had issues with stator capacity running two batteries?

I have two batteries in my 165 - but I purchased it used and it was already installed by previous owner. But fwiw I have had no issues so far.

Good job on installing a ACR set up on your batteries!

Does your owners manual say what size the alternator is?

This post shows the alternator at 380 watts for the 250 engine, and the poster said that spec was in his manual. Stator Upgrade? Thats 26 amps which is not huge but pretty darn good.

Do you have an onboard charger that you leave plugged in to charge your batteries in between outings? That will go a long way in giving you the best battery performance you can get.
