Whoa whoa whoa....Electric hoist? Disqualified....No wonder you can do it so fast.I can pull it in about an hour by myself. Of course I am all setup for it and its way easier in a ar230. The only thing I need help with is removing the engine cover. Here is my setup.
Glad you're back up and running. I'm sure a small crack doesn't take a long time to spread and make things worse. Are you still planning on rebuilding the old one? I'm in ordering parts, soon to tear down the old block stage myself.I got the motor in and started it. Now I need to go to the lake and break it in. I did notice on my old motor, after removing the exhaust, that the crack goes almost the entire length of the block
Well it sounds like SBT is trying to get you going. I always hated when I bought an engine even with warranty knowing if anything happens I have all the work of getting it in and out again. Plus the joy of insuring the install was done properly. I only had that issue once on a rebuilt transmission. Sounds like you can get the engine out and in pretty quick (practice makes perfect HA!) so you can try it again and I am sure it will be fine this time. Good luck!
