2015 242 Limited S First Impressions w/ Pics and Video

Thanks, to you as well on you near future purchase. Now I need to figure out what to do to set it apart from all the other ones that will for sure be on here!

LOL, that's how I am with cars... I'm building a 2011 Holden Commodore Ute right now, only 34 in the US...and I'm still trying to make it different

Are you from Down Under or just found this odd vehicle to wrench on?

Yeah. I know that combo will be popular. You could add graphics but I think the simplicity of the exterior is a large part of the allure.

Dang, not even hitting the showroom floors and all these boats are sold. Obviously, Yamaha did something right and upped their game. I am afraid to even go to the showroom and see a Suede Gray one. Congrats to all you guys and gals.

If you do just bring your check book.

@OperationROL have you already worked out a deal with a dealer?

Had a Pontiac G8 GXP M6 that was rear ended really hard, and seeing as it's 1 of 863 Stick shift G8's, couldn't send it to the junkyard, so I imported the Ute shell. (Pontiac G8 and Holden Commodore are the same car). I then bought a 2014 Chevy SS (Next generation Holden Commodore) as a daily. Just have a thing for Aussie cars.

I promised myself a long time ago, I am keeping my boat till I am done with it, then giving it to my daughters or grandchildren. I am keeping that promise. That said, I still will hit the showroom floor. The whole time, the wife will be saying " No, your not getting a new boat."

!!!Poor GXP. GT driver here but going to have to sell it for a tow vehicle if I ever want a boat
also, ute? nice!

My buddy just bought a brand new Axis T22 for right around $60K and it has in-hull graphics, not stickers. A limited S is just as expensive and I don't see why it should have any lower feature set. That Axis has a KILLER stereo, a tower, automated ballast, perfect pass, surf gate, etc., plus what has to be a more expensive powertrain. Seems odd to me that a $60K boat from Yamaha doesn't have enough space in its build cost to incorporate this much nicer approach to graphics. I suppose its irrelevant if they sell every one they make, though!

You're comparing a 22' boat with an MSRP above 80k without a trailer (I'm assuming) to a 24' boat with a 60k MSRP and that includes a trailer. I'd love to see the stickers beneath the gelcoat but you'll never see it at this price point. I'll take the larger boat with a much lower price point and deal with the stickers!

I wasn't on the forums back in 2009 when the 2010's came out, was there this big of a buzz for them as these new 2015's?

I have never seen this much buzz. I have been around from the 2006 to 2007 transition and the 2009 to 2010 transition and I don't believe that it has ever been this big. The reason is we can all see that Yamaha is listening. All of the things we ask for are being incorporated. Also, we can see that Yamaha is responding to the competition. I thought of getting an MB before the 2015 launch. I believe (my personal attention) that the new players in the jetboat market did not expect Yamaha to step up their game this much. I am excited and can't wait to see our waterways loaded with Yamahas.

With all this buzz about the 2015's and the suede grey in particular I was starting to worry about even getting one this soon.

Exactly my concern....Does limited really mean limited......

I will have will ask what there actual production numbers are, but I don't think they limit them. Although it is starting to seem like it.

Thinking about a lighter tint on new boat.
