I'm not going to be able to make the trip.

Does your boat still want to go? :)

Well since sensitivity has gone out the window here....who will lead Sunday?

Sat, sunday or monday. . Which ever day that had the best water is when I want to cross!

You cannot be picky now. You just commit and then cross while praying

I expect to be afloat by 4pm saturday. Captns meeting can be moved up ! I say we regroup based on the 7 day outlook

I’ll start a PM monday for the sunday crew and the NC travelers. We can sync this up.

@justason has mucho experience. I wanted him as a group leader for July.

Whoa! Thanks @Bruce but i know my boat. Decisions are an individual basis. I’m a 95% laker in the only boat size that has not done well bimini historical. We all chat. We all execute. I’m still learnin my chartplotter!

That said,...i’m awesome at packing and logistics

Are boat would also be fine to leave Sunday if the weather is that much better than Monday. Leaving from NW Ga at 4am Saturday morning and the wife's are flying in around the time we should arrive.

You have the most crossings of anyone in the Sunday group and huge experience with your boat. I would follow you.

For the record, my boat caught fire a couple weeks ago. I wouldn't overfuse anything much.

I also had no anchor. And my fire extinguisher was junk. And no cell phone coverage. And out of beer. Not a good day. Luckily, my fire extinguisher was one of the affected recall units and got a new one in the mail yesterday. A smaller fuse wouldn't have prevented any of it, btw. But, for the record. It is recorded.

I don't overfuse anything, except for bilge pumps. When I need them to run, I need them to run no matter what. If they burn up running, so be it. It is a safety device to keep me from sinking.

I thought I gave you an anchor you didn't put it on there?

It's funny @veedubtek that this conversation came up today as this after noon I almost had a fire on my boat. I was washing my boat and listening to the stereo when all of a sudden the front speakers started sounding all messed up. Went to the back and my Polk PAD 40004 amp had smoke coming from it not sure if a little water hit it while washing the boat or what happened but you could smell the internals melting it is fused in 4 spots and none of the fuses blew and the amp didn't go into protection mode. Just kind of ironic it happened today after the whole fused discussion this morning. Any one got an amp recomendation I need to grab one this week before Bimini I'm going to try and send the Polk one back to Polk to see if they will fix it under warranty but no way it's back in time for our trip. I'm looking at the wetsounds HTX4 or JL MX500/4 unless someone has another recommendation trying to stay under $500 and would like something like these two that are sealed.

Ok guys
There has been a slight change in plans and I need 150 lbs(approx) of living and breathing meat with a cooler and back back for paid transport from FL to Bimini and back. :D Preferably for the hopeful Sunday departure....
Can anyone help?
@Valerie I will be able to help. I will be solo crossing. My family will fly over and back.

I think you gave it to me a week before this incident, and it was sitting in the back of the Touareg still, lol. It's on there now! I just fixed it last weekend. I do need to dig up some rope/rode from upstairs in the garage still though

I need to buy a stern anchor for a 35 footer. Any recommendations?
