That, and I like the ability to visually navigate to a distressed vessel. It's just quicker.

$100 well spent for me to be able to remove everything. Except the radio itself I'm going to explore this option thanks!

This is the setup I have, radio is mount in starboard console. Remote mic is mounted below throttles. I get a pic this weekend maybe.

That's a cool idea. Maybe mount radio under helm behind door and have remote and speaker at dash? Assuming you need to buy a separate full function remote? Also assuming built in GPS wouldn't work under helm. Expect there are other units that are designed for this kind of install. Anyone done an install like this?

Already planning to add XM tuner this weekend. I'll take a look at locations. Just been using mobile data and app here, but can't go without tunes. Understand I need to surface mount xm antenna so there's that.

Make sure you go with an upgraded marine antenna for your XM. The one that comes with the basic receiver is garbage and there's no good place to mount it. We went with something like this and it works great (the exact one we have is discontinued I believe) A little pricey but good reception and a clean install.

So... it happened today... went to the boat show and now i am taking a new boat to bimini

Well i.... i actually came home and took a nap and dreamed about taking it but still.... all i would need is @veedubtek boat buying power and access to some 3rd party bank accounts and it could happen..

I was getting extremely jealous there! Actually, I'm jealous enough that you got to go to the boat show! My company sent me out of town during the Chicago one and I was mad because they made me cancel my winter vacation for the trip and rescheduled it for then! Now, my 21' boat will be fine, but the dreaming at the boat show is so fun!

This is Easy tell @veedubtek how sexy he would look behind the wheel of that thing and he will likely go buy it. Then he will keep it for three months put about 10-20 hours on it and you can buy it from him then at the depreciated value since its now used.
