2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

I'm pretty sure I get the award for the most money spent; I bought a brand new truck just for this trip.

I bought another truck (not new) ... And a replacement trailer for this trip... (If the wife asks we needed a better tow vehicle and the old trailer was trash)!

Ok, so you're a contender. Did you have to get passports this year too?

Great minds think a like the first thing I plan to do when I see him and his wife Friday is start talking about how I usually tow my boat with my Prius but just decided to bring the suv for the extra space this time and how these trailers are indestructible and should never be replaced.

I'll just stand there agreeing with you....

Wonderful!

It's not exactly the one, but it's close enough.

I have the titan eco diesel. it uses very very little DEF on any given day......until i hitch up....I'll be clearing the shelves at walmart tonight of whatever they have in stock....FWIW I dont know how the rams manage it.. @veedubtek i think had the ram diesel

I am eager to see if my f250 will break the 20 gallon per mile mark towing to florida. I can get 18 in the stop and go and hills going to Kerr lake

I looked at the Titan XD, nice truck, nothing wrong with it and it would definitely be my second choice. Love that Cummins 5.0. But......it's not really considered an Ecodiesel and it's fuel consumption is right up there with a 2500 diesel. I haven't used a drop of DEF yet and I've towed a few times and long distance.

no doubt in my mind you'll breach 20, its all downhill after all;)

So far in the hills in Eastern PA I've only been able to get about 15 mpg towing. I am hoping for better once we get into the flatlands below DC.

@veedubtek did have one he said he liked it but it just didn’t get the girls panties as wet as his executive trimed tdi’s did so he got rid of it to go back to a tdi or something like that.

The key is to take it to a trusted mechanic and have him pull parts off and throw them out!

I think it is more because mine is the 6.2 gasser. It’s not as strong towing and gets thirsty quick, but it is bullet proof and anybody can work on it when needed.
