2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Personally I prefer to keep the explosives in the factory tank.
This is why I put them on the swim deck....don't want cans of gas inside the cabin, and the lower swim step gets them nicely out of the way.

You do need to start with that group of boats if you expect to arrive with them........
Careful boss that did not work for lakeboy who left with the "group" right up to the point where he was left by the "group" and his family was picked up by @wallacerb. Who did not leave with rhe "group"

@bronze_10, I have never carried extra fuel for my 2007 SX230.

If I ever do it will be purely for the purpose of helping other boats.

This is what i’m evaluating. I dont think i can strap to the rear deck well. I have some small 2.5 gallon jugs I’m thinkin more for bimini be out that a crossing threat. I’ve never carried spare fuel before

Can we evaluate if the sands has a fuel threat? The whalers leave on the 23rd?

Last year I was beeping for a VERY long time, I was actually nervous, but I made it to the fuel pumps at the sands and saved the jugs for later and a couple of bucks

Thee was a 1/2 probability of drifting until rescued for those that decided to cross on their own and a 1/20 probability for those that crossed with the group. All three were rescued.

Bimini always has a fuel threat. If Blue Water sells out Bimini Sands will as well. Worst case scenario you have to spend some extra days on the beach. You are not going to carry enough fuel for the return crossing are you?

I only strapped my cans to the center handle on the lower swim deck....they stayed put totally.

Your boat has a bigger lip than my "old" style. I don't know if they would stay or flip over. I may test this weekend.

Anyone know if the mail boat fire will effect other supplies (RUM) on the island? We're going to finish our shopping and packing tomorrow. It's finally getting close!!!

I will have to find a picture of Diana after camping in Sebastian and a round of no seeums
It’s not for the faint of heart
What did you get a ticket for?
I hope that will be the worst of it for the trip! You guys deserve a stress free trip this year
That’s for sure
The talk about no see ums reminded me of Diana and that trip. Making me itch too!!

There is a spare mail boat.

The Whalers will buy everything. They have a scortched earth policy.

Me three.
Anyone know this guy? This is what he carries on the back of his ski on his Bimini crossings....too much fuel for me to be comfortable...I’ll pay a few extra bucks!
