2019 Release coming soon!

The AR195 now has 1 less seating position, but you get a table, 10 more gallons of gas, a few hundred more lb capacity, Connext screen, phone holder, different brand stereo, and hinged seats. Not sure it's worth an extra $3k or not.

AR195 is $37,599 !

Comes with 4.5" Connext as I thought from the rectangular looking dash. I love the new layout with the angled door and revised observers helm! Also I spot the separate cushion on the rear no more stepping on the seat cushion! Good job Yamaha!

Downfall I see is less storage and less seating in the rear. I do like the cushion for the passenger for rear facing. Not sure where the table is stored. Just watched the video 2” wider, hinged seats, storage door on driver side. Also radio controls on the driver side. Overall I think this is a good improvement. Still surprised they didn’t redesign the rudder with a keel on the boat similar to the 21’ & 24’s.

The more I look the more I love my 2018. My deal was rebate + financing + warranty and my boat was over 2K less msrp. My dealer was super creative so I got all 3 incentives rather then having to choose one.

I was hoping to see snap in sea-deck for the AR240. So I guess I'll be in the sea-deck group buy next month.

As someone who just bought a 2018 SX195, it's a good refresh, but honestly nothing game changing. The context is nice along with the hinged seats and now a 40 gallon tank instead of 30. Is that really worth $2k though? Not sure about that especially in the entry level side of things.

Very happy with my purchase now knowing the used market just gained some value as well with these price increases and rather lack luster changes.

Hoping they keep these price increases up man my boat feels pretty sweet right now! A couple more years of 2-3k price increases and I maybe able to sell my boat for close to what I paid for it in 5 years.

Wave looks bigger for sure. Maybe the new system and a wedge to clean it up would be the ideal setup.

@Neutron that's what it looks like they included a gps in the unit I hate the no analog gauges though it looks silly

Could look at another way though, gives you a great blank slate to cut in anything you want there - nice big flat panel is kinda a dream for dash customization. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wake booster reminds me of the scarab side scoop. Grabs water along the side and shoots it across at the jet stream/wash.

What huge disappointment from Yamaha...

Love my 242x E, but was looking to trade up to a

27' plus

Will have to look at the competition

Really like this forum, one of the best

Hopefully Yamaha will stop listening to the boating press that doesn't spend a dime on their products and start listening to their customers on this forum.....

Shame on you Yamaha.....

Haha that last pic I was like WTF the pissers are on the other side of the boat but then noticed the driver is sitting on the port too. Obviously a flipped image but had me fooled for a sec! :D

SX210 now has a passenger captains chair.

The surf plate thing is curved so it acts like the Scarab surf thing that channels the water from the side to help push it over on the jet closest to it thus moving some of the was to the side. Not sure it builds a wave but more so moves jet wash to the side. I just hope they don't have an issue with ripping out the tow hook or side mount (if there is one).

This is what happened to a Scarab surf bracket...

Would be interesting to see what it looks like with a custom swim step bag. . . . .that said, for the price I'll be in a dedicated wake boat so I'll probably never find out. ; )

Looks big enough to flush mount my Simrad Go7

The 242 e series l e vinyl floor is a different take? Is this an improvement ?

But is it really less seating in the rear? You mean the middle of where the rear bench is? I have never had anyone sit there because the stopover "hump" is so low it doesn't offer a lot of back support. Not sure if the new rear seat has a filler cushion but I believe all the other larger boats came with one or maybe I'm wrong on that lol. That's why I didn't bother adding the filler cushion when I bought the jetboatpilot seat conversion kit. Either way I don't really see a lot of people sitting in the middle rear of the cockpit, especially now that the observers area is nicer with it being padded and appears more roomy so more likely to have someone want to sit there now. Hopefully more room away from the windshield over there.
