2019 Release coming soon!

There’s a video on the green hulk site. Sound like it go’s under the swim platform

Backwards how?

1) The ridiculous growth in price for what one gets in return (compared to before).
2) The rudder. A stupid 'solution?' by a stubborn company.
3) The newer motors. They are lower reving, yeah, but they're louder at lower frequencies and burn more gas, and the performance isn't really any better. The higher frequencies of the MR-1 are easier to attenuate than the louder lower frequencies of the 1.8s. I'm a bit torn here but whenever I test drive a new boat, nothing about the new engines makes me want or not want them, until I sit at the back and the low drone at idle drives me nuts. The mr-1s are higher revving, but my boat spends less than 1% of it's life at wot vs 90% at idle or slow speeds.
4) ConnectX. I would like to get the premium boat, electronic throttle, etc, but I don't want ConnectX, cruise control, speed pass, etc. I don't want an expensive touch screen to turn on a pump. I want a simple switch I can troubleshoot and replace if needed. ConnectX should be optional.
5) No more convertible lounger option. I know some people like dual pedestal captains chairs, I don't. My convertible has been rear facing since we brought the boat home and still brand new. My captains chair is eventually going to need replacing from all the movement parts like the slide, rotating, pedestal, etc. Why would I want to replace two of them? I have more usable space than with a passenger captains chair.
6) The premium boats with the huge towers and bimini tops that are awkward to lower and/or remove and leave the boat hard to walk around in when down. Some of us garage our boats, need to lower the tower/top, and we want to be able to walk around in our boats when in the garage.
7) Styling. I actually like the older styling better. The only thing styling wise I would like from the newer boats is a squared off bow for more bow space. Every time I see a newer boat in the water, it looks like something is weighing it down in the front.

Website is up!

I'm happy I got the 2018 AR240. They eliminated the anolog guages and its just blank with a phone cradle...looks weird. Other then the warranty and nozzles nothing I'm missing. Oh you can have the $2200 price increase too...ouch!

$2000 + increase for the 212L over last year making me feel great about my 2017 leftover price. Only real changes is the reverse and I have no issues with current configuration. This economy has got everyone on tilt I guess.

Sure sounds like a Gatlin wake product...

Easily affixing to either side of the boat using the tie down hook under the stern, the Yamaha WakeBooster “scoops” water towards the centerline, feeding the wake with a massive amount of clean water. The result is a wake that’s more easily surfable, with a nice curl and deeper pocket that provides a larger riding area

They added 1500 this last year to the 24 foot top of the line boats with 12 inch screens. I'd love to know what one would get for a 3k increase???

242x

They state the sx and ar 240 have "maps" on the connext now

Using the tie downs huh. I wonder where they got that idea :D

WakeBooster seems like such a funny name though. Interested to see what it looks like.

Wow, troll much?

AR195 is $37,599 !

Comes with 4.5" Connext as I thought from the rectangular looking dash. I love the new layout with the angled door and revised observers helm! Also I spot the separate cushion on the rear no more stepping on the seat cushion! Good job Yamaha!

@Neutron that's what it looks like they included a gps in the unit I hate the no analog gauges though it looks silly

Only a few good looking colors. Mostly boring colors with some small graphics.

Looks like same Connext so maybe just a firmware update for 2018s and we'll have maps too.

Got nothing to do with that. Looks like an ok wake but still room for improvement from Gantlin!!!

Not to mention maybe more drag on the boat, where our Wake Wedge has zero drag on the boat. You can also leave ours on all day long and not worry about.

That scoop reminds me of Scarabs system.

Glad Yamaha tried a different approach instead of just doing what was already out there.

I do like the snap in matting in the pic above though

Gotta be honest the best looking is the blue 242x but way too much $$$$$$.

So basically nothing really new. Another letdown. Still can only get throttle by wire on the most expensive model.

I'm seriously considering my next boat may just be a 26' bayboat or some other outboard type boat. I won't miss all the times having to unclog the grass every time we go to the keys. Of course, even 26' bayboats are more expensive than the Yamahas as they too have shot up in price over the years. The market is full of fools paying these crazy prices.

Where's the 27'er?

Been soaking up info here for a while, and we planned to buy a new AR240 in the spring. Not sure I can stomach that new blank dash though. $2200 + 2 analog guages seems expensive for a cell phone holder and lateral thrusters. Man I'm disappointed.
