Getting my trolling motor and batteries installed next week. I have seen the batteries installed in the forward Center console shelf and love the idea of them being out of the way in that shelf.
I'd also like the idea to have them further back somewhere.
I didn't see anyone mount them anywhere else, so I assume that horrible idea ?.
They are old school 67 pound, 100 amp hour deep cycles..
Thank you for your time and input.

The only place they will fit is the shelf in the head compartment…. If you can you may consider putting them in battery boxes on that shelf to keep the acid away from everything else you’d store down there.

Thanks.

I have never posted on here before, hopefully it works. I'm sure your install is done by now, but others might be looking at options. I used a NOCO 8D battery box with a 100ah 36V lithium. Not sure the dimensions of your lead acids, but two might fit. It's completely out of the way and the charger is mounted to the side. I did have to remold the box around the step a bit.20210526_094927.jpg

That is a really sano set up!

I put them on the shelf, but turned them 90 degrees to get them as far starboard as possible

My lithium batteries are under the deck toward the bow in the Head compartment. Charger and plug in receptacle on port side of helm in compartment.
They are in boxes and out of the way.
