Hey Guys, just bought a 255X and noticed the both thrust nozzles are pointed inward. Is this correct. Also, can the steering wheel get out of alignment as well, and if so, can you realigned it yourself? Ie.. takes alot of left steering to go strait. Also, maybe at speed the thrust gates could tangle up with the wake guides that come down? Thank you for answering a stupid question.

not sure if its just optical illusion but i see your rudder is pointed to the right and nozzle straight? this will make it slightly turn to the right, thus having you counter left steering a lot.

My 255xd nozzles are the same as yours. They both point a little inward.

They point the jets inward to help improve the surf wave. I straightened mine with a slight toe in when I added cobra jet steering. I didn’t not notice much of a different in the surf wave but I didn’t get a good reference before adding the CJ steering.
You can center the wheel and adjust the angle so they are equal and also center the keel to the steering wheel. On mine there was not enough threads on the port side turnbuckle so I had to also adjust the cable length at the hydraulic pump under the front seat.
You also should check that both buckets raise the same when in forward. If not equal it will pull one way.

you will get better fuel economy also and if the buckets are not even in neutral the boat will want to go to one side or the other depending on the position of the buckets
