Abacos 2019

Hi, looking forward to meeting you all. I think there are tentative plans to grab dinner the night before?
Yeah, let's plan for dinner/captain meeting the night before.

What date is everyone planning on launching?
We are planning to leave June 8th
Damn, we will be a month later, July 6 Starting date. Have a good trip! post some pictures here.

we are still working on the boats and getting everything ready for the trip. I believed @Amar Nanduri and I will stop at Spanish Cay for the first night then continue onto Treasure Cay. Hopefully, we can meet up and have a drink before departure.

No Spanish Cay @jayasaki138 if we can help it. I think we hit it hard and fast to Treasure Cay. If the weather is good we take full advantage and hit hard. If it’s bad then we might need to seek refuge in either of the touch points (west end, Spanish Cay, green turtle Cay)

We will definitely plan for dinner or drinks the night before and formulate a plan and departure time based on weather conditions.

Would love to see a detailed abacos vs bimini write up when trips are done!

@Gadiel how is your preparation going on ? Now a days all I do is dream of Abacos.

We are 95% ready just a few little details left to polish
We are monitoring the weather and it doesn’t look too bad but still too early to tell
And im on the same boat as you all I do lately is dream about that beautiful bahamian water

The last Bimini run 2 weeks back gave me confidence in my friends boat. Now I need to find a day to put the boat in west palm beach before the Abacos run. I suspect I will get the chance to do that only on the 5th of July.

How was bimini?
We’re thinking about doing a short weekend run there maybe in July

Changed a lot. Less chitter bugs (I hardly got bit in both north and south Bimini even though I did not use any repellent). I suspect they are getting eradicated in preparation for the influx of tourism from this year. Lots of construction going on near the Hilton. It is becoming more like a tourist place and less of an adventurous place. The Sapona has a freaking ladder now to go up and down the ship (it used to be a rope that you pulled yourself up with only gravity to get off the ship). Honeymoon harbor has a slip now to park the boats (dunno whose bright idea is that, must be smoking when he greenlighted this). I suspect it will only get more commercial going forward :(

What do you guys think about the weather forecast for next weekend?
