Ok! Update. Attached are pictures of the coolant pump housing that circulates the closed cooling system. There is a cap that snaps into place over the thermostat and the locking grommets failed blowing the housing off and blowing the thermostat out. This was already mounted to the engine when my new engine was installed. Either it was a factory mistake or somehow the housing took a hit when it was shipped or installed. I haven't contact Scarab or BRP as of yet. I got the boat home around noon filled it with 93 octane and launched it near my house. Had to turn around as there was a pretty intense storm moving North up the bay. I have video and will post when it get it produced.
Easy fix for the thermostat front popping off is to put a hose clamp around the tabbed area. Me and others have sanded off the tabs and used screws on our seadoos (same motor) when installing a cooler thermostat. Then we can take the cap off whenever.

Glad this all turned out good for you...(my boat in shop again) (4th O2 sensor and carbon ring "2nd one of those"may be leaking again 70hrs) infuriates me is that without this forum of helping one another out this story would probably have another outcome. When you purchase the boat therected should be a disclaimer..."youre on your own, but there is an awsome forum to help with any issues". I will never ever buy a REC BOATS BOAT EVER AGAIN. People come up to me all the time and I tell them no way...This things a turd.
