I noticed it last weekend, but grew concerned after this weekend. The boat lists to the port side while docked and on plane. It's about 1 inch low to the port side which makes the starboard side about 1 inch high. Both times about 1 gallon of water drained out of the hull when I pulled the drain plug. Before I drained it this weekend, I checked all compartments and found no water in the ski locker or engine compartment.

2 questions:
1.) Where is the water coming from and how is it getting the hull?
2.) Could that little amount of water cause the boat to list that bad? If so, why to the port side?

I bought the boat in the fall of '19. It never listed that fall or all of last year. I always had the drain plugs opened in the ski locker and engine compartment, but this year they are closed, by recommendation from the dealership that winterized the boat for me.

Any ideas?

The more I think about this, the more I do think it has something to do with the interior drain plugs. For the previous year and half, since I bought the boat, the bilge would kick on quite often. We would tie up with friends and we joked about my boat "pissing" on theirs. It would kick on about twice an hour to drain.

This year, I haven't noticed it draining at all. This is also the first time those drain plugs have ever been closed and 1st time for the boat to list in the water.

Engine compartment has been dry all year, but previously, I would always see a little water in the compartment after boating.

Stereo equipment extra batteries and general items stored in the boat can easily make it list to one side . There are a lot of threads for water getting in the two top reasons are the anchor locker drain and the rear clean out tray and inspection port.

Open the drain plugs and see if it’s stops listing?

Put it on the trailer & pull every drain plug to see if there’s water somewhere it shouldn’t be. Have you replaced your scupper valve?

I believe it is original to the boat.

The anchor locker drain on the bow hull has silicone around the ring. Looks like it was added. Today, I found the carpet under the port side bow cushion was wet. I believe water is getting in from the anchor locker drain.
