I try to take my boat out in the Bay on the weekends. Tomorrow is going to be around 80 high which is beautiful but would this wind and chop make a crappy day? I’m a new boater and will have 2 little ones on board. I have a 2011 242 Limited S

Those winds would keep us away. Unless your anchorage spot is close and you weren't planning on running it the whole day.

My anchorage spot is roughly 25 min from my boat ramp. I may just skip the day if the wind and chop are going to be pretty bad since I’m going to have 2 little ones on board.

3-4 ft seas with that short of a period, no thank you. Bear in mind you need to be prepared for a wave that is 1.5 to 2 times the forecast.

From the National weather Service…
If we take a sample forecast of Seas Beyond the Reef of 2 to 4 feet, this implies that the average of the highest one-third waves will have a Significant Wave Height of 2 to 4 feet. But mariners need to keep in mind that roughly one of every ten waves will be greater than 4 feet; one in every one hundred waves will be greater than 5 feet; and one in every 1000 waves will be greater than 6 feet.

As a general rule, the largest individual wave one may encounter is approximately twice as high as the Significant Wave Height (or Seas).

The older hulls tend to cut waves better but I would give pause to 3ftrs with short duration but I would be scared of 4. Delaware bay?

Agreed! The seas with those high frequencies are more significant than those winds which are nothing to sneeze at either.
