Hello,

I am wondering if anyone would be willing to lend me a YDS tool. I have a pc but no CD slot.
I think I have a stuck injector but i'm not sure if its the injector or the ecu
Symptoms include: Fuel in exhaust, Trouble starting up engines, However once they start on idle they sound bad but at higher rpm like 3000+ they sound fine

Did you find one?

@tdonoughue no but I ordered the CD and found a friend with a PC laptop that has the CD slot, I have a big job in Pennsylvania so I'll be gone until July 16th, once I'm back I'll do some tests with the yds tool, as of right now the boats running great
Will post an update

Is anyone in the NJ / NYC area willing to lend me their tool? Still haven't found anyone willing to lend me their PC laptop that has a CD slot. I really just want to know my engine hours and do a fuel injector and a ignition coil and spark test

Do you have the cable and just need the software? Or do you need both the cd and the cable?

So if someone got the software hosted somewhere so you could download it, that would set you up to load it on the laptop?

I assume that could work, actually wait..good idea..I can burn the cd onto a usb drive using iso CD burner software then plug in the usb into my laptop. Should have thought of that earlier. Thanks @Beachbummer

The CD is not special, you could even share the CD drive and copy the files over. There is no bootable image or special autostart stuff that it needs to work, just copy the contents of the CD over in whatever is accesible to you, and then do the thing. (I can't remember, but I think there is an installer to run and you are good. The next thing is to remember to configure the USB port with the OBD2 device to COM1. If it doesn't work when you try it on the boat, that is very likely the reason. look in the device manager at your ports and associate the OBD2 device to COM1.
