I have an interesting question regarding bridge clearance. I currently don't have a jet boat but I'm seriously considering the 2024 or 2025 Yamaha 255 FSH but I need to figure out what the bridge clearance will be, but not the normal bridge clearance published by Yamaha. Where I live I have a rail road bridge that I have to get under to be able to get out of my neighborhood. If I were to buy the 255FSH I would have to remove the T-Top and after looking at how it is mounted to the console that appears to be a pretty simple task but what would that leave my bridge clearance at? After using a tape measure and guessing where the water line would be I think that I'm pretty close to what I am now with my current boat at 60" but no way to know for sure without floating a boat and measuring. I have talked to my local dealer and they aren't willing to float a boat without me putting down a deposit and starting the purchase process which I think is BS. I know it's a huge ask but could someone who has this boat measure from the top of the center console to the water line and let me know what you find?

Why can’t you just measure from the take off point forte T top on a 255 then take that off of the bridge clearance spec of 9’2”? That should give you a good idea of whether or not it’s going to fit

1st off I love the Thomas Sowell quote.[flag]

I did try and do that but the question then becomes the running light on the back of the T-Top. Since the light folds down would that 9'2" measurement be with it up or down? The difference is probably 8" or so and for a white guy that really matters. :winkingthumbsup" When I took the measurement and I asked my local dealer about how the running light would be measured they didn't have an answer.

Call Yamaha corporate for the answer about the anchor light, because size does matter!
