Actia makes the OEM displays for Yamaha and several other manufacturers. Enovation probably licenses the line from Actia for the MFD and integrates it with their system to create the "Murphy" format. This is typical with electronics - why make your own when someone else already does at half the cost.
Yeah, might just be a software issue with the Connext and Enovation systems - most can be upgraded with a USB drive. I'm guessing when they changed systems, they didn't account for the software communication and it was left out. Or Yamaha had a lot of complaints about blown systems and took out the EQ function so owners couldn't crank up the bass to 11 and blow the system. That seems to be what they did with the older Wetsounds systems - de-tune the amps so owners don't blow it apart.
Does the amp have 6-channel output for all speakers or just four?
Just brought my new 252SE home Saturday and I can also confirm that there is no EQ on the 12" Connext. Searched through every screen on the system, and searched for an app to download. No luck. I don't even hear the subwoofer hitting. I cranked the stereo with both bluetooth and regular FM radio, and put my ear next to the Subwoofer and heard nothing. I looked at the Amp which is in the helm compartment and the light was on. Something is definitely not right.

I'd definitely look into the issue with the sub. Another member on a different post has the same boat and confirmed no EQ settings but he said he could definitely tell the sub was working.
The only way this will be rectified is to let Yamaha know this is ridiculous.
I was at the dealership today to see the 255XD in person. Asked about the no EQ settings and the factory rep said that a software update may be coming to rectify. He said that their production schedule for the 2021's has been crazy tight and there was a list of things to catch up on (e.g. software updates).
What Wetsounds amp is installed on my 2021 212SE? 4 channel or 6 channel? Looking to install a subwoofer. Does the JL enclosed 12” fit in the starboard aft seat storage or only 10”?

A software update would be great. Also good to know the Yamaha rep is aware that customers are not happy about the EQ issue. My boat came in last week but since I'm in MN, they are going to keep it on the showroom for a display model. (assured me it would be roped off). Hoping a potential update comes in before I pick it up in April.
Has anyone with this system verified if it's XM ready? There is no specs online regarding these systems. Seems like they are a huge step back from the fusions.
Based on the PDF posted there should be some AUX connections, you could get a stand alone XM head unit then I guess and run it through the AUX. Would just have to figure out the power supply situation.
This one could also connect via bluetooth to Connext no need for the AUX then.

Thanks for confirming. I am waiting on an AR250 and I know it has bow, center and swim platform speakers. Do you know if the head unit also has a 3rd zone available in the connext screen and a sub out zone? I’m adding two amps, subs and tower speakers so I would like to do 3 zones plus sub. At a minimum would need 2 zones plus sub out zone.
