Performing a bit of preseason work on my 2005 AR230. I pulled the panel of gages off the dash and behind the speedometer I found what appears to be a calibration dial. I haven’t seen any posts on that here so I thought I’d share a pic. My speedometer works fine, just off 20% or so.

Have you tried your hand at trying to get it to read more accurately, or does that have to wait for warmer weather?

That is interesting. Does your boat have a paddlewheel?

I will have to look at mine. However, just for information, as my speedo is nearly dead accurate.

Confirmed! Took the boat out yesterday and used a GPS speedometer app on my phone to see what my actual speed was. Holding steady at 31 mph, I turned the knob shown above counter clockwise and the speedometer slowly dropped from 37 to 31 mph.

Full speed at 43 mph matched perfectly. I had to make a few adjustments to get 20 mph to match up but it works perfectly now throughout the range of speeds.

I never noticed before but turning the boat throws the speed off quite a bit. A left turn increases and a right turn decreases. Makes sense since the paddle wheel is on the starrboard side.
