Good deal on Kicker LED speakers? Plus Install help!!

Try adjusting the source decibel level at the fusion head unit. Recall that the purpose of the line to the controller is to act as a source for music to light synch purposes. The knob just adjusts how sensitive the led controller is to the music / beat coming in so that the speaker leds blink accordingly.

I was looking for an adjustment like that on the HU, but couldn't find one.

Well, I decided to push this project back until next summer, but got a little too antsy and did it early. Finished back in September. Haven’t had time to take pictures. Here’s the update!!

All 4 speakers installed along with amp and LED controller. I ran a CAT6 (yes an Ethernet cable) around the boat to tie the LEDs into. The wire had 4 sets of colour coordinated wires in them which made easy work for connecting the speaker lights together. Ran this cable to the knock off Wet sounds controller matted to the back of the glove box storage.

used the original speaker wire as it was in pretty good shape. Tried my best to “Tidy up” the wiring to the amp with some plastic wiring hose. Not my cleanest job but nobody’s seeing that part of it ?

the LED controller works FLAWLESSLY! I only have pictures of the blue (which is my default setting) but all colours look AMAZING! Changing seamlessly with song patterns, and the touch sensitive remote is a dream! Also added a little remote on the swim deck for easy access when in the water!

the sound is absolutely unreal compared to my stock system - which I didn’t really have any complaints with. Anyone thinking about upgrading their speakers on a small boat like mine, I cannot recommend this set up enough. Total install ~$500 CAD (or about $25 US with the exchange?).

HUGE thanks to everybody on this forum that contributed pointers and tips. I could not have done it without the help of everyone on here!

Sometimes the LED controllers will feedback on the RCA cables if you have them connected to the controller introducing noise to your amps. I had that issues with the generic wetsounds conroller. I used line to RCA converters from the head unit speaker output to the LED controller instead, but have since switched to just using the mic pickup on the LED controller is it just works better that way.
