Whew
And honestly if the seas and winds were what SailFlow and Windfinder were calling for , they made excellent timing
Now their bodies will all lock up on that long car ride home :hungover:

does anyone have plans on going over to the casino at the Hilton one evening while we are there?

Not me. They destroyed the reefs and half of the mangroves. Now they want to destroy the rest. If they get their way Bimini will be nothing but a casino on a dredged pile of sand.

@Bruce and gang - do we have a list of potential ferry-crossers? Do you have an opinion on how convenient/reliable would that be, if it's a viable option at all? Any chance there is a larger (substantially larger) boat crossing along that might take an extra female passenger (for a fee of course).

I'm leaning towards exploring various option for Kate. She does not want to fly a small plane, so looking for a boating solution without complicating things.

This crossing business has a way to affect marriages? or so I hear, lol.

yes and I forgot to add, Three Daughters is cash only
a little fyi, the Hilton has a tram that runs from Big Game to the Hilton and back and stops along way, this way you don't have to pay for a taxi if you want to explore that side of the island and the taxis we did talk to were negotiable lol

I am uncertain that the tram will transport non Resorts World guests. Without a doubt the local are excluded from the tram. Many of us had a great time walking North Bimini last year while other rented golf carts. If we have a rough water day this year I plan to repeat the experience.

As for cash, I should mention that much of Bimini is cash only. Even the places that take plastic may cause a fraud alert. There is an ATM machine at the bank beside Butler & Sands.

Fuel and the condo rental can be paid by plastic correct? I've started laying out the cash I need to bring.

$150 for customs
$250? for dock master
$500-1,000 for everything else?

@Bruce I spoke to Capital One before last yrs trip about what to do in the event of fraud protection shutting off card. If you call them any time & let them know what dates you'll be traveling, they'll aid in not shutting card off.

$150 for customs is only good for up to 3, each person above 3 is $25.
$250 for dock master, not sure what this is for. My experience dock masters and dock hands would prefer or at least very happy with a 12 pack of beer as a tip since beer is so expensive in Bimini.

Don't forget some cards charge a fee to use over there
Cell phones too First trip was insane because I didn't know the "rules" FaceTime is my best friend while I'm
Over there

I thought we had to pay the dockmaster for our slip when we arrive? The $250 came from $50/night for 5 nights.

Chase has told me that they do not charge an international fee on my card. Capital One has told me two different stories, so I'm not sure if they do or not...
