My initial thought is that it might be the tail section of the plane wreck (wheel above water) between the Sapona and South Bimini. But after watching the video again the water seems to deep for where the tail section is located plus the whole video is shot around Honeymoon Harbour, so now I'm guessing it is located on the north to northeast side of Gun Cay (Honeymoon Harbour). Sorry that is a lot of words to say I don't know where that plane wreck is.
There are a ton of those dark sea grass spots over there by honeymoon harbor it doesn't appear they moved the boat to go check it out. I guess the better question is where is the rest of the plane lol.
@Edgar Almonte, I added your condo # to the first post so we know you are going.
My family took a lot of stuff to the condo our first year. Since then we take more stuff to enjoy on the water and in the sand and less for the room. Now we just take clothes, food, toiletries, paper towels, toilet paper, dish washing and clothes washing supplies to the condo.
Thanks.
I plan to take mostly shorts and t-shirts and snorkeling gear. I plan to take my wakeboard and water skis. Are there any waters in Bimini calm enough for wakeboarding?
Thanks. @Edgar Almonte I plan to take mostly shorts and t-shirts and snorkeling gear. I plan to take my wakeboard and water skis. Are there any waters in Bimini calm enough for wakeboarding?
@Edgar Almonte , I think that there are lots of spots that would have water that is smooth enough for wakeboarding and skiing. I brought a kneeboard in 2015, but never used it. Two reasons. 1. I didn't know the waters well enough to feel confident about possible shark attacks and possible contact with reefs by the boat or the board rider if they fell. 2. Gas is expensive there.
Sometimes the ocean will be calm but that is less likely than rough. I have seen people bring a wakeboard. I have never seen anyone use it over there. You may be the first. How do you feel about salt spray in your eyes?
You can bypass doing this by calling your credit card company and explain what is requested by the vendor. The credit card company will verify that you are legit to the vendor. I do this all of the time when companies want a copy of my license and card.
@Betik, I specified no minimum charge in my initial email to Stephanie. I just sent her another email to be crystal clear. I'll update y'all when I get a response from her.
In 2015, I paid a total of $31.80/night (including taxes) for my 24 foot boat. In 2016, the person in charge of things (who is no longer working there) did a really, really, really, ... BAD job. Although I had booked months in advance, I double-checked my reservation about a week before the arrival date. I couldn't get a reply to my emails, so I called them directly to find out that I had no reservation. I ended up getting charged $39.32 for my one-night. I didn't have the energy to deal with it further. So far, Stephanie seems to be more capable than her predecessor.
The 2015 and 2016 forms had a 0-69 foot section. I had not noticed that they changed it to 40-59 on this year's form. I'll follow-up with Stephanie.
Sorry, I missed that.
So, this is what I asked Stephanie:
"Hi Stephanie, some of my group asked me to make sure about the rates. So to do this, I'd like to use my boat as an example.
At the agreed upon rate of $1.25 per foot with no minimum charge, the nightly charge for my 24 foot boat is $30. Right?"
This is the answer that I just received.
"Yes, sir, that is correct: 0-69 feet is $1.25/foot/day. As for trailers it is $10/axle/day while the vessel is here, if the vessel departs and the trailer remains it is $50/day."
I asked Stephanie to update the form and resend it to me.
I'll remove the other one from this thread for now.
Thanks
Bahia Mar is full of megayachts that are often there for long periods of time. I would guess that the average bill when they operate the fuel dock is over a thousand dollars. All of their forms and procedures were created for a scale of expenditure far beyond our slips for a night.
They have been good to us in the past. Their paperwork and handling of reservations has always been sloppy but they have always worked us all in.
