flew at the beaches few times... didn't take a dip in the water though lol

How well does the navionics app to and from Bimini and while at bimini work?

Remind me, are you going with our group or on your own? If you are going with the group it will be all that you need as you will be following another boat with a chart plotter for the crossings.

If you are going on your own I prefer something tougher and better mounted than a tablet or phone. The app is perfect but the devices it runs on are not marine grade. The last time I used Navionics on a tablet for Navigation the mount failed in 3' seas leaving me holding the tablet, steering and controlling the throttles all with two hands in the dark. So now I use Navionics as a backup.

just booked our room at Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach (saved some cash by using Hilton points) and we have the boat slip at Bahia Mar also. Sooo looking forward to this trip

This looks awfully optimistic to me

Well these guys are probably in for some trouble first flaw in there plan is Chub Cay is still closed I sure hope they bring enough fuel to not need to stop in Chub but if they do not know this they are probably not very well prepared for their trip and have much bigger issues in there plan then this but I do wish them luck.

I'm wondering why spend so much time in Nassau also. Just take the extra time elsewhere.

@robert843 on April 26th on Chub Cay Facebook they stated fuel and customs are open but not the clubhouse and dining by reservation only. Is that not accurate at this time?

I'm not planning a trip there this summer so I will admit I have not called out there to verify I was just going from there website it is possible they have fuel and customs open but I would be skeptical about counting on it when everything was up and running they were still not the most reliable fuel stop I can't imagine it's any better.

I agree I would have to call first but like @2nazt said their facebook page says fuel and customs is open as of 4/26/2017.

I sent him message I just realized who it is I have no doubt he will make this trip happen his last trip to Bimini was insane This time he is crossing in a boat vs jetski.

@Valerie he is a forum member here as well I have talked to him in the past about this trip. There timeline isn't unrealistic at all the only thing I would dump is the whole camping in Exuma thing they will be tired last thing they will want to do is camp. @2nazt when I spoke to him a few months back the reasoning for staying in Nassau was the nightlife and casinos were more what they were looking for then a vacation on a small remote island.

I like to camp but I cant imagine primitive camping after a day on the water like that I NEED a freshwater shower with soap, shampoo and conditioner! Lol
He's a beast! I can't wait to see the videos and hear the stories!

I understand that Chub Cay is still experiencing financial issues that cause fuel to often not be available regardless of hurricane damage.

Hopefully they will have fuel and everyone going will understand what a hard ride they are planning.

Hello everyone, Altho this is my first post here, Im not a newbie to the whole Forum community. Just wanted to let you guys know that it looks like there may be some over lapping with another group ill be going with. Altho i wasnt able to join the this community on this trip due to scheduling reasons, i am able to make the trip out of haulover on the 14th with "FLJETSKI". Many of us have already confirmed bookings with bimini sands and seeing that we all will be sharing the resort for most of the day the 14th. Would be nice to put a face to everyones name from here if some of you are willing to meet up by the infinity pool area evening of the 14th.
