Emailed @Cobra Jet Steering LLC sone pics of the dealership install and had to correct a few issues. I can’t say enough how awesome he is! Thanks Jeff! All looks good now.
Just finished cleaning the boat and flushing the engines.
She ran like a dream for the first time out. Very impressed with the versatility of this boat and how well it handles on the water. It tracks like a dual outboard with the cobra steering system at all speeds. Reverse was a breeze and docking was easy peasy. Crossing bigger boats wakes wasn’t near as bad as I thought it would be. And the boat feels like a 24 footer. Very spacious. And I’m dually impressed with the amount of onboard storage and organization. I can’t wait to get back on and and get it really dialed in.
Only issue I had was when leaving the sand bar neither bucket wanted to come out of reverse. I got in the water and manually moved them a bit and cleared the sand out. I’ll keep an eye on this. The family loved it, my 12 year old handled it at speed like and old pro. Very proud.
I will be adding PVC trailer guides; Trailering was simple in the light but I think would help at dusky and windier situations.
the speakers sound okay at the dock and sand bar. But at speed almost can’t hear. Will be remedying this ASAP.
other then that I can’t think of anything I didn’t like about it.
Money well spent.
You should be getting 7800-8000 rpms. Check your throttle cables, make sure they are hitting the stops. Check oil level, a bit low is better than a bit high.

I adjusted the throttle cables just now. Each had maybe ~1mm of play in them. Took that out. I’ll test it on the water today and check the oil once they are warmed up. Really hope that took care of it. Don’t want to deal with the dealer!
Gotcha, Odd that 1mm or less would affect it that much, but it’s electronic so 1mm might as well be a mile! and I’m sure with them being new they might “stretch” a little. I’ll keep tools on the boat to check them through the day. My “need for speed” days are over, but it’s nice to have that little extra when trying to outrun the rain! Haha.
really appreciate the feed back
