Need axles... MFI trailer, AR 230... Lengths?

@BikGS, could you post a picture of your trailer after the axle swap?

My thinking is that the 89" axles should have moved the hubs in 2.5" from their factory position. Perhaps your new wheels had an offset that made up for that?

Did you measure your factory axles or have factory and new axles beside each other?

Those are zero offset wheels so they would not change the position.

My axles are at least 94”. The tires are near the outside of the fenders. There may be enough fender width to allow for moving them in 2.5” with 89” axles. If I were changing both I might consider that.

That's likely the case. I had to do both axles, so it wasn't an issue for me. Truth be told, if I was doing it over again, I'd have gone slightly wider axles.

I just replaced one of my axles on my trailer. The one I ordered was 93.5 inches hub face. Then I put on the rotors for the new brakes and that put me at 94 inches exactly which is what the other axle is.

Well I just ordered 89” axles for my 2006 sx230 mfi trailer, mainly because of this feed and me being unable to to find and exact axle replacement. So if the 89” axels worked on your 2007, they should work on mine. Fingers crossed.

They definitely sit a lot more inboard than Bruce's picture. There's not a ton of space between the tires and the inside of the fenders on the 89" axles. They don't rub, but they are close.

If I was doing it over again, I'd go with a slightly longer axle, just for some extra margin.

Yea I was looking at that. The fender can be moved if need be. I have a feeling I’ll have to do that because I don’t have 2 1/2” inches of gap behind my wheels currently. So I’m prepared for that.

Looking at it now I guess the other option is a 95" axle. That's an extra 3" on each side. Not sure where you ordered axles from, but that's probably the route I would go if I was doing it over. It's hard to see in this picture, but my wheels and tires are WAY inboard vs what the fenders could support. I don't think the 95" would have any fitment issues.
