Hi all; longtime lurker/reader, first time poster. We picked up our brand new 2022 AR195 one week ago today (ordered in early Sept '21), and I've spent all winter scouring this forum, trying to learn as much as possible about our new boat. I gotta say, this forum is a wealth of knowledge and advice. I have come here almost every day for probably the last 6 months just to see what new things have popped up! Thanks everyone for sharing such great info and experience!

We were pretty unsure of how the AR195 would fit in our garage. Having read through all the forums, I bought 2 coupling nuts and a couple 1/4-20 bolts, ready to do the "tower lowering mod" many have suggested. To our relief, the boat JUST fit with the tower lowered WITHOUT the mod needed. Our garage at the cottage is 83 1/4" high from the "step" at the door's threshold, so we were pretty relieved. That being said, it was a tight fit, lol! Glad to report that the wife and I backed the trailer into said garage on our 30th anniversary, and it looks like we'll still make it to 31, ha. I've attached a few pics of for reference.

One area that always seems to generate a lot of discussion is the bilge pump on these boats. I just wanted to state/confirm that our boat came with a the Rule RM500B bilge pump, which Rule describes as an automatic, water level sensing bilge pump, that will "revert" to being a 2.5 min cycle style pump if the water level sensor becomes fouled (which happened all the the time in our last Rotax-powered boat): Rule RM500B Rule-Mate Fully Automated Bilge Pump.
Is this a new spec, or do other model years have this pump?

We can't wait to get his thing in the water and get through the break-in period! Here's hoping our slip is ready this weekend!

Congrats on your new boat looks sharp. And man that is a tight squeeze in your garage, lucky dog. Did you puposely match your avatar to your boat color??

Ha, nope, just noticed my avatar now.

My 2020 FSH came with the Rule 500 gph rule pump that has a sensor in and operates the way you describe but mine is the older style, the pump you linked is the upgraded model.

I‘ve had zero issues with the OEM bilge pump, and installed a second Rule 800 gph pump in the aft bilge and it seems to function fine as well.

From what I’ve read on this forum the older Rule bilge pumps just had the 2.5 min cycle style of pump.

You will probably have some production debris in your bilge, I flushed the bilge out on my boat a few times before all the crap was out. So don’t be alarmed at the odds and ends that come out.

Happy 30th anniversary! That’s an awesome milestone!

Thanks! Yes, we spent last weekend vacuuming out a lot of fiberglass shavings and such from production, but great tip on flushing the bilge! We will do that this weekend.

I use Motul Bike wash to clean my engine and bilge. I’ve used that on my dirt bikes for years, it’s a good degreaser and leaves behind a protective layer. Once everything is dry, I give the compartment a good hosing down with silicone spray. I also give the aft bilge a good hosing with silicone spray. After each outing I will leave all the hatches, including the hatch on the clean out tray (aft bilge) open for a day to let everything dry out.

Its like the garage was made for the boat! Congrats on the boat and enjoy!!!
