Hey all, first ride out on the boat yesterday with a new transducer installed. I rode the entire season last year with a bad transducer, waiting for the off season to pull and swap. I know I know, risky, but my area is deep and the "bad spots" are well known. Anyway, I was in and out from the dock to the house about a dozen times yesterday and I noticed that about 50% of the time, on startup, it would give me 130'+ reading at the dock, flashed while in reverse, but seemed to calibrate itself after moving forward for 3-4 minutes. I don't remember ever having issues in reverse or massively overstated depths with the original unit. Is it possible I installed the unit pointing the wrong direction? I see that cloudy/mucky water may cause issues, but the water at the dock is 7'+ deep and I was the only boat moving around. . .
