Oh just pullin a 15 month old sbt engine

@Jaycav , do you did this kind of work for a living or hobby? I’d bet the former because you seem to have all the skills and tools needed.

I hope the new engine has no gremlins and lasts as long as you own the boat.
I’m a HVAC contractor. I just always fixed my own stuff. I wouldn’t call it a hobby. Hobbies are supposed to be fun right? ?

Very nice that you can tackle an expedited engine replacement project. I’d be willing to remove the engine and try diagnosing the problem(s) but reconstructing and reinstalling an engine is outside of my comfort zone.

@Jaycav before you bolt that in consider installing the exhaust manifold to it. It may be easier to do prior to installing engine.

Now you tell me. lol. I just learned (again) the hard way. I don’t remember it sucking that bad last time.

Everything is all buttoned up. I’m gonna take a nap and rehydrate. I’ll fire her up when the sun goes down.

What happened?

I think the engine being returned is the broken one that sbt wants the core from, if you don’t return it you lose a big core deposit.

Made great time on the swap! I'm ready for a "It ran great in the water" follow up!

Yup. It’s just for a core credit

SBT are trash, here’s one of their engines that my buddy had to recently rebuild for someone.

@DanP This should not be a problem with a new Premium SBT motor, only the remanufactured ones? I am inquiring.
