That eyesore has been there since 2017. I don't remember the exact details, but something like the owner fell on hard times and couldn't pay the slip fee, so he just took the boat out on the South end of lake to store. A monsoon rolled through and beached the boat. Park service won't touch the boat, as they say it's an insurance issue. Insurance company not stepping up as the policy had lapsed.
