I hear you. I have a (almost) 5 year old and 9 year old who love to go there. I have taken a few beatings there with people driving close to shore. I have learned on weekends to anchor in a few feet of water to avoid the waves pushing the boat into the beach. Even with that I am always resetting the anchor and too nervous to enjoy during a busy weekend.
The best way to make up for poor weather on Memorial Day is to take a midweek day off. So I had to run to the cabin to get the season Internet connection installed.
So it was a good time to invite the folks over and a great neighbor down the shore out for a run. We pack a cooler and cruise to an on-lake bar for some lunch. Good times as we have seen 80’s in MN finally!!!
I will great weekend in Sarasota Florida we had three destinations Lido Beach, Egmont key, and Bradenton. It’s always a wonderful time to be on the water with good friends and family great weekend and relaxing can’t wait to do it again.
Went to Sand dollar island today. Was a cool place, but realized ferries brought people over and dumped them off here. Next time will go to one of the other sand bars all around. Was gorgeous today and boat did awesome.
