Fall like weather today on Lanier. No rain but dealt with a little wind. Found this cove covered by tree line about 75%. Water was 86*F, nice clean beach. Temps will be back in 90’s for a few days before season ends for good.75A13AF3-7095-41AB-99A1-220BD779128A.jpeg

8yo daughter got up wakeboarding multiple times! I'm stoked! My 6yo soon rode standing on the ws board for a few hundred feet with the help of an assisted standing already launch. My wife wake surfed for the first time with a transom launch. 2nd weekend in a row at the river! I'm super proud of my kids and was totally worth the $10 carrot for standing up for over 15 seconds.

Daughter got up behind the waverunner in a back lake with an assisted start, then a solo deep water start on her second try.

This is the highest number of people I’ve towed at one time and it happened on my last trip out.

I'm pretty sure those riders all count against the capacity plate of your boat. Can anyone verify that? How was your hole shot?

I don’t see how, they are not in the boat.

I am sure you are right.
Anyone that knows the rule/law can verify that.
I don’t recall having any issues getting up on plane but would not have challenged anyone to a race either.

In WA State we have mandatory required boater education. You have to pass and obtain a boating license. I thought I remembered the capacity issue from the course, sure enough I just found it in the handbook.

Quote
When determining the number of people on board a vessel, persons on water skis, inner tubes, or similar devices are counted as passengers even when they are being towed and must be included in the maximum number of people allowed. For information on the laws for overloading or overpowering a vessel, see Unlawful and Dangerous Operation.

I'm sure it is probably similar in most States so just be aware of it!
