One picture of your last outing.

We have a "no orange cheesy snack" rule on our boat. One of my daughter's friends not in the know brought some dorito and cheeto bags to share. My daughter and her friends got creative in skirting the rules.

Commander took CRIME PAYS out today to test out the new matching spare trailer tire. The logic was lost on my fiance. But like I tactfully explain to her all of my seemingly illogical and irrational ideas...you don’t have to like it, or approve of it, or even understand it, you just have to accept it. ???

Is that a second mirror mounted on the bimini top? I’ve been considering mounting one there. What model mirror is it? Why did you keep the mirror mounted on the windshield?

Yes, I hooked a mirror to the bimini top, which gives me good visibility all the time to the rear and doesn’t get in my way. I removed the stock mirror, since it’s way too big, and purchased another smaller one that I only use when we do wake board.

Seems like it's similar to the Slingshot COaster?

--

It's similar. A bit smaller and seems to have a lot less volume. The El Jefe is so cool, you can literally put your feet anywhere. I was doing nose manuals with both feet on the nose. Super fun.

I've still managed to make it on the water this and last weekend. Just not on my boat. My mother's 1999 Four Winns Sundowner 225 has been in the family since new. Due to financial circumstances it's been sitting dry since it was winterized in fall 2016. I was starting to worry that if it sat for another season the challenge of getting it going again might be much more difficult to deal with if the fuel turned.

Anyway, I spent a couple recent weekends working on it. New battery, reinstalled all of the water jacket plugs, oil change, new spark plugs and a whole be thru hull bilge drain and plug. The 5.7L Volvo fired right up.

We spent the last two weekends out on Utah Lake running laps to burn off all 50gal of old fuel. She ran great! It's probably got low hours for a 20 year old.

Can I just add that I MUCH prefer working on my boat. I love a good Four Winns, but it's such a pain to access anything. You have to be Inspector Gadget to reach the oil filter. It's a good think I have unusually long arms for someone 5'10'. You have to blindly replace spark plugs because they're low in the engine compartment, and good luck finding where all the plugs on the water jacket go... not exactly simple maintenance, my arms have the scars to prove it...

Couple of pics from this weekend..

Just going out for a lazy 80+mph "cruise"! :D
