Here are a few from today with my 17 year old Son. Great Father’s Day I’m the water with my boy.

Long story short, I noticed that the left/port spindle/axle end on the jet ski trailer was squeaking and slightly bent upward when we left the ramp this afternoon. I checked, no wobble so the bearings were ok and there was grease in them, most importantly the tire was not rubbing agonist the trailer frame, at least not when the trailer was sitting still and without skis on it (yeah I know, now).

i decided to drop the skis off at my brothers house 12 miles out. Within 4 miles This inner face of the tire rubbed against the trailer’s frame enough to cause a flat.

On the way home now with my son driving. Not how i expected this Father’s Day to turn out but still the best Father’s Day I can recall. My boy and I handled it all very well’m very proud of him.

Made the short run from Oshkosh to Neenah on Lake Winnebago yesterday. Docked at Lakeside Park and walked along the river towards down town and eventually stopped at Green's Pour House for a (one) beer and several glasses of water.

Had family in town, decided to put in at the ramp closer to my house to enjoy the cruise, instead of the ramp closer to the island, weather had rain chance at 20%, went from beautiful to a major storm with lightning in 30 minutes. Spent a hour trying to snake through storms blowing in off the gulf on the way home. Had to put the boat on the trailer with 30mph winds and 3ft swells crashing on the ramp. Made things interesting. Boat did hit 51 with the throttles pegged, 5 people, top open and 75% fuel

We met up with my friend that has a Seadoo Sportster at Lake Allatoona. Covid has caused lots of changes in our lives, but a big positive is that many of our friends are spending more time outdoors. Looking forward to a great summer.

Had our first gelcoat scratches trying to tie up with my friend's smaller boat (don't do it!), but I think I will be able to buff them all out.

We've all been there! I've raced many storms and been caught a time or two. Never had to deal with swells crashing the ramp though.

Had to call the coast guard on my 7th outing ever!... took the guys out tubing and as we finished watching the sunset, we saw a couple of girls waving at us from the lighthouse... as any testosterone filled boat would do, we got closer... only to realize they sunk their ski and were being bashed up against the rocks... thankfully, nobody (aside from the jet ski) got hurt.

It took all 5 people from my boat, both the coast guards, both girls AND 3 bystanders to pull the ski on shore... NEVER underestimate how heavy water can be.
