One picture of your last outing.

I didn't risk going out on the 4th. Went out on Friday instead. Caught up with @Shookie and floated for a bit. Didn't get very many pics or vids that day. Just enjoyed being back out on the water after taking most of June off.20200703_095931.jpg20200703_103112.jpg20200703_104039.jpg20200703_110615.jpg20200703_160332.jpg

My slip is as far away from the main channel so doesn’t get much chop and is protected from wind as well. That wasn’t the case yesterday. So much activity on the lake, out of the blue with out warning the dock began to shake for slightly less than a minute. I believe it is stored up energy. The cruiser next to my “modest Yamaha” began to rock back and forth with the dock one back corner was not protected driving under the dock. I placed an extra fender between his swim deck and the dock for him.

Achieved the goal and blew my second tower speaker yesterday, since I blew the first one on Friday, so now I can upgrade!! Luck was on our side, bad storms popped up everywhere except Destin. Got a couple boats together and staked a claim for our group, never seen Crab Island as packed.

We have been working and working on perfecting the wave and I think we may have finally got it so she is happy, 212X stock ballast full, wakebooster, 450LB on driver side rear seat and 750 bag draped over the step through in the middle.

Not really a pic from the outing but rather the aftermath. Poor guy had a long day on the water. Fell asleep while on plane headed back in. Slept through the no wake zone, loading onto the trailer, then all the way (~2mi) back to the campsite. Stayed there for another 30min as well once we got back.

Lac La Belle MI. Up in da U.P.! Ran from Lac La Belle to Manitou Island (almost to Canada), perfect water out on Lake Superior.. and the fishing was spectacular!

You can see the Mt. Bohemia ski runs in the background!

Reminds me of my formative years at the jersey shore listening to Manowar: “blow your speakers”

@WetWillie We were out yesterday and it was hot for sure! Sunsets are beautiful though. Heard there were some accidents out today - watch for the crazies!

Oh and I have questions....
1. Are those Taylor made shades? Curious how you are anchoring them inside the cockpit.

2. Is that the swivel rack from Yamaha that you have the Zup board in?

Have fun!

Yes they are the Taylormade anchor shades we love them for added shade when posted up at our swim spots... We attach two clips to the bow cleats and the rear two to these at the very end of the windshield glass behind helm/pass seats...
AIRHEAD SUP Suction Cup Tie Downs, 2 pk. Amazon.com: AIRHEAD SUP Suction Cup Tie Downs, 2 pk.: Sports & Outdoors
We then connect the two on the rear shade through the tower and to the suction cups and the rear to the lower transom cleats. Works great so far!
As for the racks they are the stock racks that came on the boat. That being said the only zup board that will fit is the basic zup with no foot pads... We’ve had the board two weeks and I can’t keep the kids and wife off it; they’re all working on standing up on it and I’m practicing wake surfing before investing more in a proper dedicated board.BE9D9F38-8DE4-4EBC-AAC3-56FF929A2F56.jpeg

last day of vacation

Usually don’t go out on the 4th but since we were at Tellico, it seemed like a great opportunity to take the kids to a real fireworks show without the crowds. I also enjoyed navigating back in the dark.

We had a great view if everyone's fireworks across Utah Valley. We've never tried viewing it all from the water before, it was pretty spectacular, things were popping like crazy.

Finally got to use the Versa board! Man this boat just keeps giving us good memories.
