Man, that babe you have standing in the bow is a real dog...

(someone had to say it)
Yeah she certainly is... She's the best though, always on time, never a fuss, good swimmer, cheap date and doesn't worry about how she looks. If I could only get her to learn to back up the trailer she'd be perfect!

Sunday with 2 "babes"...

Introduced my little one to our guys trips. Was pretty awesome bringing him along, he even wanted to try surfing with me. We got up first shot! It burned my legs out quick trying to keep us both in the pocket that's for sure.

Was a blast as usual! We were down at the boat house talking and all the sudden heard running and a splash. He jumped off the top of the boat house within minutes of getting there.

what lake is that?

Lake Gaston. It's my most favorite place in the world. It's getting pretty busy now that rich people have discovered it. They're coming in and buying up everything and building massive houses everywhere. Used to be the common man's lake. Now it's a mini lake Norman.

Seems like around any decent lake it's going that way.

What creek are you on? Our place is on the main lake west of I-85 between MM 25 & MM 26. Still a quiet part of the lake, but the wake boats are finding it is a good place to find calm water.

I live in charlotte and prefer Lake Wylie over Norman for the same reason.

That's my buddies house that they've had for about 20 years. Their cove is near Grandma's Island. It used to be called something else, but that appears to be the most recent name. The vids were near Washburn's, aside from the drone vids at his house. Their cove is probably closer to MM2 off the main lake.

Know it well. I have friends on Pretty Creek (MM 4) and we go out to the dam with them all the time.

You need to get down to the west end of the lake for some peace and quiet, but that is a haul.

That's very much a haul. I have another friend that has a house out near the railroad bridge. I think MM 23 or 24, but have yet been out there. I've been to shady shack a bunch, but haven't been this year. That's the furthest west I've been. Been coming up to this place for years. Rented a place around the corner from watersview (by boat) in 2020, can't recall the MM off the top of my head right now.

Yeah…..it’s people with money discovering the outdoor life since the Covid years and the so called “investment groups” buying the places up that used to be affordable for the purpose of being short term rentals like AirBnB or VRBO’s. We have a cabin at a small local ski hill that we could never afford again and get contacted about selling weekly. When or if this ends? Who knows.

Perfect day on the water. There was 7 of us. I didn't wakeboard, but everyone else did and they all got up. Even Admiral which is shocking but the one of the kids said they would try it only if she did. So she finally tried it. She stood up on try 4 and went a few hundred yards, faceplanted hard and came back in the boat, but was thrilled.

Against my feelings I hooked up two tubes and pulled the kids around their lake, 4 of them, 2 in each for an hour straight then they were wiped out and called it a day. Great Last day for the families and kids.

Lake Lanier never disappoints.

I know what you mean. By boat, we have gotten as far as the Eaton Ferry Bridge to meet up with friends. Any further is hard.

Probably the last time we got the boat out on our home lake yesterday for the year sadly.

We will be taking the boat to the Ozarks over Labor Day weekend so we will get one last fix in.
