50+ boats anchored here Sunday and a busy beach. This is why I do like Monday's.

@Zizzou 192, love the name/picture.

I’d say Life Aquatic is my favorite movie, and I gave serious thought to naming the new boat “Deep Search”.

Yyeah, hopefully I can dress up like Steve Zissou for Halloween this year.

Like most things I've waited way too long.

Let me know if you do and I'll send you some good correspondence stock :)

Which beach is that?
Considering trying Lake Champlain next year.
That is Thayers Beach in Colchester, a quick ride from Malletts Bay. It used to be accessible only by boat until recently when the town opened up access from the road.

This wasn't my last time out, more like 2 weeks ago.
My friend lost his boat Purple Rain." He ran out of gas and was being towed in by another friend. Big cruiser came around dead man's curve and his wake swamped Purple Rain. In 30 seconds it was under water. No one was hurt. But this goes to show you boating safety is a must. Shit can happen when you least expect it.FB_IMG_1537374253896.jpg FB_IMG_1537374242706.jpg

Wow!
How do you recover from that? Is there any liability on the cruiser? Did the cruiser even notice and stop to help?

Running with 12 adult-size people in the boat today! It was fun. Worked great, I was a bit surprised actually.

Going through my photos from vacation, found my last outing - lol. Zipping across Lake Seneca to get to the ramp as quick as possible in rough water, due to the multiple holes in my hull.
