Repower 2004 AR210 with MR-1 HO's

ok I way underestimated the time it would take to rewire the 12V power system and swap batteries... I know better but hey i did it anyway... Net result is 1000x more capable nearly 200 Lbs lighter and 2x the available power... I used 35' of #4 red and 20' of #4 black... I also rewired the trim tab to after the battery switch and re-terminated the #4 lines that head forward for the power amps... here is a before and after... and some random pics...

working on cables, fuel system and gauges this afternoon.... i need a break from battery cables...

the question at hand is where to put the mech oil press clocks as there is no room left in the dash... I was gonna straddle the fuel qty but alas there is structural bracing in there for the steering column... i can put them on the port console above the glove box and have room for 2 boost press later ? or take the easy way out and put them with the volt meter that I use to monitor the batteries at startup and shut down... (the garmin has a voltage display configured on my main screen anyway... the fire pull cable will go in the stbd choke cable hole...

Im thinking in port console to give BBB something to watch...

plenty of room for even 2 5/8 clocks a well... i have a faira euro volt meter ill stick in the center hole and I have two filler panels for the BOOST, water or oil temp down the road.. ?... today is fiberglass friday down in the ski locker prepping for the tank installation...replacing/re-engineering some aluminum angle hokey floor stiffeners with Coosa board with rounded edges... and Six10 epoxy... and lastly whilst the hole saws are out Im installing the fuel line raceway to the engine bay... Getting close... once I get fuel system installed I can wire up the start circuit and try to fire these puppys...
gotta steal some connectors from the donor FX Cruiser HO and then order what I need for the port engine...

More pics when I stop itching.. LOL

ok this is getting close got my raceways fitted ski locker all sanded smooth... and strategy for the structural Deck re-enforcement... I'll gonna get it all prepped tonight and epoxy if i dont run outta daylight... ill cut all the liner material and neoprene spacers glue them in place and slide the tank in tomorrow.. figure out where the vent is gonna come through the hull and start plumbing...

overhead and vertical side by side using THIXO vs Six10... get the Six10 at Ace HW... $4 cheaper/tube than West Marine...

it goes where you put it and doesn't pull down via gravity...

resealing the ski locker neoprene seal whilst the epoxy cures...

well there's no more procrastinating... 70 lbs of tank through a 20 lb hole... Last resort is to pull the foam and reinstall as I put the tank in... i think im gonna try the shop vac and let air pressure compress the tank...

well thats it for today.. got all the fuel system components mounted and roughed in... need 2 more -6 AN 90's and I can plumb in the 6 micron filters and fuel rails... im still looking for a pair of small Raycor water separators.... the little filters after the ball valves are 12 micron pre-filters for the pump... specified by Walboro... gotta tighten all the fittings and clamp...

That's a pretty cool bladder tank!

That's a pretty cool bladder tank!
its the only thing I could think of that fit the requirements.... I haven't gotten any data or done the math but WAG math says 6 hours endurance at 30-35 mph so thats what close to a 200 mile range to dry tank ?

dug out that faria volt meter... installed the 6 micron filters with more dressing and tidying up Fuel system... still waiting on 2 -6 AN 90's (apparently everything in the same box stuck in Opa Locka) working my way back from the fuel rails to the tank.. Prolly just gonna run the fuel pressure gauges till I set the fuel press then replace them with plugs... would be a real mess if they got snapped off...

apparently I cant leave well enough alone... BBB was complaining about the noise and smoke of the 2 strokes so in go MR-1's and she wanted a better sound system so here we go... I got all this LiFePO4 house battery so I picked up a 3000W (peak) 8 channel marine AMP 6 channels on HPF and 2 channels bridged to mono on a LPF for the sub... 6 x 100w RMS and 2 bridged at 500w RMS for the mono sub.... again simplifies my setup... and Im all about the simple easy way out  ? then its time to chase the rattles LOL

and look what I found in my pile of parts...

pressurized the fuel system... No leaks !!! set the regulators to 50PSI for now... I'll tweak them with the engines running... Getting ready to test spin the engines with the boat harness/key switches then ill make the connections for real and we can start the engines up...

got a ton of wiring/cleanup to do!! history says it will take a few days..
