Russia Invades Ukraine AND Chinese Aircraft Enter Taiwan Airspace

Because….he was what, secretly tough on them? Are the current ridiculous comments part of that ongoing strategy?
Laughable.
Bided just reinstated (Trump’s) sanctions on Russia. The Ukraine is currently firing surface to air rockets at Russia that were given to them by Trump for the specific purpose of using against Russia. There’s no secret toughness. It’s all out in the open for anyone to see who hasn’t been just blindly cheering for their team because they see their favorite colors.

My “team” is America and you’re ignoring a lot with your summary of our recent history here.

CAATSA
15 sanctions
5 Indictments
19 Statements
7 Meetings
Also Putin viewed Trump as a "Strong American President" and felt he set his party's ideology aside and viewed foreign relation with a natural view. Unlike Barack or Hillary.
It also might have been that Trump tried to work with Putin to settle the Ukraine issue and come to an agreement and lift sanctions caused by the invasion of Crimea.

He very reluctantly signed those sanctions put in place by congress.

Meetings and statements?!

Putin saw what was really going on and is exploiting the divisions and weaknesses in our unity and resolve (and frankly intelligence) that we’ve put on full display for the world over the past several years. We’ll continue to play right into it as a large part of our country has now been told by their news that they shouldn’t care, so they won’t, and Russia will grow stronger and bolder while we fight amongst ourselves.

I’m not blaming any administration but it doesn’t take a very deep look to see that Russia wasn’t deterred by one either. What’s the saying, it’s chess not checkers…

The Ukrainians are showing off a pair of prisoners. Not a big deal but shows they are fighting and have communications.

Pics: Ukraine says it captured first Russian POWs
There is a video going around of Russian soldiers executing Ukrainian soldiers firing squad style.
I hope Ukraine can push back. I also pray that people stay safe and this will end quickly.

Also flight patterns are shown over Ukraine.
Its a RQ-4A Global Hawk

At least America is keeping a close eye on Putin’s actions
Also two B-52 were over the Atlantic a few hours ago.

I just started reading posts in this thread tonight hoping to get some more insight on the what all the nightly news stations are reporting on but the arguments between members have made me lose interest so I’m going to ignore this thread going forward with the goal of preventing / reducing unnecessary stress in my life. I’ve got enough of that already and don’t need to take a side in an augment over a country on the other side of the world with people I only know by their screen names and who have no control over what is going to happen there next.

For the love of God please let this be true. If this man takes down even one Russian soldier… give this man The Cordon of the Order of the Chrysanthemum!

He wants a

Putin has got to have smallest dick if all of Russia

That is probably true, but he does have a big rack.

Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons and materials in exchange for security and sovereignty guarantees with Russia.
Not NATO.
--

I shouldn't have lumped NATO into the agreement. But as part of the Budapest Memorandum, the US, UK, and Russia agreed to protect Ukraine against aggressors in exchange for giving up the nukes. Either way, the US looks weak.

While @TX_Mercenary's comment is bordering on political discussion, which is not allowed on this forum it is important to point out that the Keystone XL was not an operating pipeline and was not able of pumping any oil in this timeframe. Keystone XL was a planned expansion of the Keystone Pipeline which is operating as it has for more than a decade. The XL expansion was stopped by court order in 2018, if not earlier, and ended by a United States Supreme Court decision in 2020. The oil that might have been transferred to the XL expansion is moving by truck and rail.

Because trucking and moving it by rail is both safer and better for the environment.

OK, let's get this back on topic. This is why the world fears Putin, Barry Wood is his advisor, and here I thought Barry was dead.

Now all you need of John Xina…err I mean Cena the communist apologist to make that pic complete.

This thread is wild, but not surprising. Kinda like the state of the world today.

Somehow, someway, I hope Ukraine can severely hit Moscow. Their only hope is Vietnam style gorilla warfare. The only way to win a war, is to make your enemies citizens beg for it to stop. That’s why America can’t win anymore. The American public doesn’t understand what it takes to win, and they don’t have the stomach for it. The Japanese would have never surrendered, if we only targeted uniformed combatants. If war ever lands on the home land, we definitely will not be given the same stupid un-winnable courtesy that we give everyone else. War has to be made so terrible for citizens that the leaders become fearful of it’s own people’s desire to end it.

I think this is HUGE.
There are reports of Russian military vehicles being found abandoned as well a Russian post.
Rumors going around are that rookie militants were beaten and forced to march into Ukraine.
Is this likely to be true? Probably not. However, if it is, Viva La Ukraine

Guerilla. That being said, sending in the gorillas to fight the war may be how planet of the apes starts.
