Decided to finally upgrade my truck. I bought my last truck an 09 Tacoma sr5 Premium 4x4 in September of 08. Put only 74000 miles on it and it was a great truck. It was in excellent condition and sold it in a week and a half for 16 grand.(only paid 24,400 when i got it new) the guy who bought it couldn't pull out the cash fast enough.
I had ordered a 2020 Tundra Limited double cab 4×4 in Smoked Mesquite. It was supposed to be in by the middle of this month. My dealer only wanted to give me 12,500 for trade in on my Taco. So i decided to put it up on Facebook and it has been gone for 2 weeks now. Been riding my bike to work waiting for my truck to come in.
Monday got info that the shipment full of tundras got damaged on its way to the port. And now it was going to be late January for my new truck. No way was i waiting that long.
We found this 2020 Limited Premium Crewmax 4x4 in Smoked Mesquite near Charlotte. Now its mine. We did a dealer trade yesterday

It was a lot more than the original truck i ordered but worth it.
Its the rarest color to find and looks amazing in the sunlight

Nice truck! The Crewmax has a ton of space, we've loved ours. I think you'll appreciate it over the double cab with no regrets.

I do like the interior room, just wanted the longer bed. I dont have much need for a huge limousine size back seat, lol.

The bed is the compromise... we have a second truck for that. ?

I’m kinda jealous of you guys that can own a truck for 10 years and only have 75,000 miles on it. My truck was purchased new April 25th 2018 and currently sits at 82,500 miles. The mileage checks are the only thing that keep me doing it lol. Love the color on that Toyota. Enjoy it!!

I do that without a mileage check. 20k/yr for the last 3-4 years. The joys and benefits of living a little more rural than where I work.

I think in that situation I’d have a little Honda Accord beater car for work. I’ve considered buying a cheap gas saver to do that with in the summer, but I have to own a pickup regardless for towing duty. Luckily the trucks hold value even with high miles so it works ok financially.

When i was up north till early 2016 i only traveled 4 miles each way to work and i drove my supermoto a lot. If me and the wife did anything together we used her Rav4. The truck was used to tow to the ramp 7 miles away and get firewood. Not to mention everything in RI was super close to get to.
When i moved here in 16 the truck only had 54000 miles do the biggest increase in miles per year was after we moved here.
My wifes rav was 3 years newer than my Taco but had more miles on it before we traded it for the 4runner this past july.
Yesterday we were in my new truck and Jeannine said i think we will be taking your truck more, lol(she likes the heated seats)

Just bought a new 19’ grey AR195 to tow behind our 4runner. Going to be tough to wait until spring to take a picture of them together...

I've considered that, but the ROI on even a sub $4k car (which would suck to spend so much time in) is somewhere around 3.5-4yrs of driving it every day.

Truck holds just enough value with miles, and gets just good enough mileage to make it worthwhile to keep it as the full time driver. My '03 Yukon got traded for a '12 Focus (in 2012) when this mileage started piling on. Traded taht for the wifes Traverse, and I drove the Audi for a few years. Then we moved closer to the office and I got the truck. Then I got a new job and I'm driving across town again........Hope to be in a "work from home" position in the early spring next year. That should REALLY cut down on the truck mileage.

I finally have a tow vehicle! Sexy pics to come, but this for now.

Wife’s 4Runner does the trick for our 210 FSH.

My jeep is currently being a jeep and not running so been moving it around with the car if I need it moved. The car has the power to pull it just not the mass to stop it plus that hitch is only rated for 2k pounds.

Love the dish network dish on the scrap heap. I ditched the directv dish and put on an OTA antenna.

Hope your Jeep gets up and going soon.

Really digging my 2017 3.5 ecoboost with max tow. On the way to FL, but sans boat(going to disney). It's an amazing road trip vehicle so far. TONS of space, super smooth, and quiet.
That's a good looking truck! We picked up a 2019 Expedition Limited 2wd back in the early fall with the same powertrain as your truck. It's amazing how well it drives and how much power it has for such a large vehicle. We didn't get the max tow since we don't need that much capacity. It tows 6k without max tow and 9200 with. That's plenty to handle the Yamaha when the truck has camper duty. The truck with the Cummins will always be the primary tow pig.

Nice truck! I have a '13 FX4 and it is our travel vehicle too. Taken to the beach multiple times because of all the room is has. I have the 5.0 but am thinking of getting the 3.5 when I decide to upgrade to a new one.
