That's a good looking truck! We picked up a 2019 Expedition Limited 2wd back in the early fall with the same powertrain as your truck. It's amazing how well it drives and how much power it has for such a large vehicle. We didn't get the max tow since we don't need that much capacity. It tows 6k without max tow and 9200 with. That's plenty to handle the Yamaha when the truck has camper duty. The truck with the Cummins will always be the primary tow pig.

We are on a 2wd 2019 expedition as well. Haven't towed yet. Love that thing! How does it behave on the ramp, with not having 4wd?

F150 for the camper, Explorer for the boat! (We like black)

Really digging my 2017 3.5 ecoboost with max tow. On the way to FL, but sans boat(going to disney). It's an amazing road trip vehicle so far. TONS of space, super smooth, and quiet.

Once you get into a fullsize pickup, man it's hard to get away from them. For all the reasons you listed. They are, IMO, the new family truckster. So much utility and function with not a ton of penalties over a "regular" car.

I'll won't go back to an SUV or small car until I either don't have a boat to tow, or am too old to drive.

Haven't towed with it yet. I doubt it will have any problems though. I had a 2wd F150, prior to our Ram, with a limited slip rear end and never had any issues. I don't use sketchy ramps!

That's what I've heard and it makes total sense.

Nice truck! I have a '13 FX4 and it is our travel vehicle too. Taken to the beach multiple times because of all the room is has. I have the 5.0 but am thinking of getting the 3.5 when I decide to upgrade to a new one.
You won't regret it! I was between the 3.5 and the 5.0, but the decent fuel mileage coupled with the gobs of torque lured me in.

It all depends on what ford does with the next gen 2021 model. I may upgrade around 2023. I

Although my 2018 expedition has 4wd - I’ve never had to use 4wd mode. I must have retrieved from 10 different lakes in the past 2 years - no reason to have 4wd engaged. My 2018 expedition towed night and difference from by 2012 Yukon xl (with tow package- a good truck but the new expedition is a worlds better -I’m sure new GM trucks are better now too)

I towed my 2019 242x for the second time a few days ago with the new truck but the first time with the new Air Lift system. I had a Air Lift system with onboard heavy duty air compressor, wireless remote control, and 7,500 pound tongue weight capacity. The ability to adjust air pressure remotely and on the fly is really nice. Even though the system allows up to 100 psi, I only need 25 psi for the boat and 40 psi for the toyhauler. Next up for the new truck is a Kleinn train horn with onboard air attachment.

Got a new rig Monday, the weather hasn’t been good enough to get a pic until today. F150 Lariat with the 3.0 Power Stroke (Baby Stroke). This puppy is loaded and I’m loving it so far! Couldn’t find a blue one, so grey it is...

I've got a Toyota Sequoia. Plastidipped trim, black headlight mod, LED headlights, and 3D Maxpider all weather floor mats.

Saw the updated signature image in another thread. Was wondering if you got a new truck. Looks sharp!

Thanks man! I was made aware that my sig pic was wreaking havoc on phone users, so I deleted it until I get a chance to re-size. Might do something a little different too, who knows.

I'm a big fan of my F150 FX4!

I just got my truck back from the shop. 2007 GMC 3500 with the 6.6L LBZ Duramax.
I was getting a check engine light and some turbo lag.
Sooos... I went shopping for some upgrades.
Rebuilt the turbo, EGR delete (problem source), 5 inch exhaust from the turbo back, EFI Live 5 stage tuner kit.
At full grunt, it’s now 500 HP and 750 ft/lb torque. Suffice to say, there are some fresh “double 11’s” on the road to my house!
Nobody said you ever had to grow up!
