Show us your tow rigs!

Been waiting to post this until I had the boat attached to it. Took the boat to winter storage this morning.

Towed like a dream. Instant torque is nice, and a 7.6k lb curb weight helped keep the boat in check. Going to have to get an adjustable hitch. To say the Rivian is taller than the Audi is an understatement!

Didn't get on the interstate, but did get to 60 a few times. I've been planning on 1.3mi/kWh, looks like I wasn't far off.

@2kwik4u, the boat and Rivian look great together! Nice looking truck, although I’m not sure that I like the front end - perhaps it will grow of me as I see more of them in person. I will say the Rivian looks 100% better than the Tesla Cybertruck that I’ve seen running around our small town the last couple of weeks.

Saw you sitting on the fold down hatch, behind the passenger door, in the previous. Is this a storage compartment and is there a hatch on both sides?

Hatch on both sides. Rivian calls it a gear tunnel. Fits a set of golf clubs, or 3-4 camp chairs. Neat feature, not sure if it's more sizzle or steak yet.

I have a customer that is right across the street from the Rivian plant (used to be a Mitsubishi plant) in Normal IL.

Had no idea what Rivian was a few years ago and started seeing pickups with round headlights when I was there - they’ve come a long way since then.

Someone needs to ask: Is it an electric boat too?

Picked up this truck last year. Tows the boat like a dream. 1000094746.jpg

I worked with an equipment vendor back in May of '20 that had one of these. Was absurd how he "piloted" it from a little remote control box. Super cool piece of equipment.

Picked this ride up a couple of months ago.

Towing with these things is so awesome. You won’t even know the boat is there until you check your mirrors.
Yup! This is my 3rd Duramax. 4th if you count my wife's 3.0L AT4. Hers is usually what we tow the boat with. This was actually my first time hitching the boat up to it, taking it to be winterized. My truck is typically tasked with towing the company cargo trailer and 5th wheel, but the boat sure looks good back there. By far the nicest vehicle I've ever owned.
