@biffdotorg I believe that in that joint! LOTS of places like that up there, just wish they'd get some decent snow this year, been pretty dismal for d UP!
It's been a great season here in Minnesota! Storms have been dropping white gold as needed and the clubs are getting out to maintain the trails.
Up until this past week, we have had decent temps as well. But this -30f crap can go away. We did get out at -10f this past Saturday, and we expect highs near 30f this weekend. All I know is the trails will be clear on Sunday as many will hang up the helmet for the Stupid Bowl. I can't see wasting a great day of riding for football.
Here are some highlights from our last few outings.
Saturday we did 120 miles, and "surfed" 9 lakes. It was like riding a waverunner on rolling waves! Then portage to the next lake and do it all over again. Amazing day for sure.
We have been blessed with snow this season in Minnesota!
Well, it looks like a lot of us have had an awesome season!!!
I’m just short of 1300 miles, and we are heading up to the Soo, Ontario area tonight for one last ride!!!
One trip the Cadillac, Mi to my buddy’s place with our families.
One trip to the Jordan Valley, west of Gaylord with my family. Wife’s sled had some sled issues, and my one big was cold, so we headed back to the truck. Guy next to us pulled up right after, and asked for help due to breaking his leg. So helped him get loaded up and drove his rig to the hospital. My wife rocked towing our 2 place clamshell in some crappy roads!!!
One trip to WaWa, the U.P., and Soo, area. Even found another infamous tree in the U.P.
Amazing season for sure! Ended up with 2101 miles and that's without the normal 500-600 MIchigan miles. We surfed more fields of powder than I have ever done in MN. Anyone who did not get a record number of miles should sell their sleds. As there were very few excuses not to ride.
I still have to edit down the last trip of the season. Sunday before last we put on 101 miles in near 50 degree weather. Folks were filling resort decks/bars. And every little open area in the woods were filled with folks peeling off helmets and jackets to soak up the sun.
It was an epic year for sure!! Lots of great boondocking and great trail riding! Looking forward to 2019/20 on my new 2020 Ski Doo Backcountry XRS 146!!
