Looking at a leftover 2023 AR250. It has this sticker on it. Can't find concrete answer. Anybody familiar with this?

My guess its a california boat, i'd stay away unless proven wrong. Not sure how they could get super ultra low emission without restricting performance. Google super ultra low emissions I keep getting california in result lol.

See that's the conflict. Some say what you say, others say it must be indicated a 4 start. So confused.

Edit: dang sticker is 4 star.

It has catalytic converters on the exhaust’s If you can get a non ca boat without the cats do so. Not all of Yamahas boats can be sold in ca.

4 start?

Thanks everyone

The 4 star is an emissions rating of some kind…. CARB ( california air resources board) has different Tiers of emissions.

I could be wrong, but unless I am mistaken, the KW output / HP of the 4 star engines is less than a non star rated engines of the same size. There was some discussion on this in another thread some time back and I think that was one of the facts that came out.

I'm going to talk to the dealer today about that boat and a couple of others. Unless I get some ridiculous deal on the California boat, I'm probably going to pass.
