Are they only on at anchor or anytime the stern light is on? Legally we are only allowed to have the navigation lights on while underway. Having white lights on your stern may be determined to be acceptable by your local water police or they may not bother people with additional lights regardless. They are wired to the pole light socket... Which may or may not have the pole light in it. So, I can run the LEDs while underway, while anchored, etc...
