Underwater LEDs. What is the best bang for the buck?

Wow, that's just one! Impressive.:watching:

image.jpg image.jpg Picked up two of the OceanLED T3s, on the cheap. Went with white... and took a different route, mounting them both between the jets, one at 4" below the water line and the other at 8". Hoping to just light up the jets... not the whole lake. ;) Two teenagers and two younger kids - all pretty psyched.

Wired them to the nav lights (anchor light, which has been switched to LED). Might be another month before we see them underwater, but here they are in the driveway.

Where are you guys finding these for "cheap"? I am thinking of doing light blue or maybe 2 light blue port and stbd with a large white in the center but the price tag makes me think it's not worth it.

Are they only on at anchor or anytime the stern light is on? Legally we are only allowed to have the navigation lights on while underway. Having white lights on your stern may be determined to be acceptable by your local water police or they may not bother people with additional lights regardless. I wired mine to a separate switch to be safe. Don't want to give them any excuses to make a stop.

They are wired to the pole light socket... Which may or may not have the pole light in it. So, I can run the LEDs while underway, while anchored, etc... And I can run them with or without nav lights.

These are the Abyss from the group buy. I picked them up from geiger41 a while back. I too, went a different route and put them both between the jets. We have not been out with them yet, but I am anxious to see how well they do in the coastal waters here. 20150109_073147.jpg

I have been searching the web and this site for underwater LED's and finally decided to purchase 3 Seablaze X blue/white fade lights for my boat. For anyone who is interested I have found them for sale for $275 each on "The Hull Truth" forum. I have been dealing with Leo who has been super helpful with my ordering process. They have blue, white, and blue/white fade light options. I decided to go with the blue and white fade lights and thought this was a super deal to share with everyone here. Here is Leo's email: lstaats@usspowerandyacht.com and contact number 954-914-8200. If your interested you can tell you found the sale on "The Hull Truth" site or from me.
