VHF radio and gps placement opinions

Yeah, I drilled into the tower and ran the cable through, using rubber grommets at the holes. I'll have the boat home tomorrow night and snap you some pictures.
 
@tocelli Here are some additional pics of my install.

I used the Shakespeare 5104 Antenna.
The Shakespeare 4187 Ratchet Mount.
The Shakespeare 4184 pass through.
1/8" PET braided sleeving.
And 1/2" Rubber Grommets

I used stainless steel screws with red Loctite to mount the antenna mount. I figured if I had any trouble I could go back and drill through the other side to bolt it down. I'd rather not drill through both sides if I don't have to. I also siliconed the through hull. It was a really easy install. Let me know if you have any questions.
