How long can you run your engines while flushing, and can you flush simultaneously?

I have a setup that allows me to connect to both flushing ports and to run both engines at the same time, and control the water flow to each engine individually.

Ideally, I’d like to run them for 15 minutes.

Thank you in advance.

I do 5 minutes fresh water and 1 minute salt away at the end for each engine then turn water off and one burst or rev of engine to blow water out and shut it down.

I won’t be putting my boat in saltwater, so hopefully I’ll never need the Salt Away. What I really wantvto know is how long can you run the engines when flushing. 15, 20, 30 mins?

I would say 5, 10 max more than enough if your on fresh water. Don’t think you can run them too long though as long as you have good water pressure.

As long as you want. It will go into low rpm if it it starts to overheat. But why run it for more than a few minutes?

Be careful with running each side of the splitter at the same time, if water pressure isn't high enough you'll start to overheat.

As @WREKS said though, why do you need to run for more than a few minutes if you're just in fresh water?

To warm up to change the oil..

I ran mine for 10 minutes to get the oil good and warm, I do this to check the oil as well as when I changed it. I don’t have adequate water pressure / volume to do both engines at one time. Just be sure you have good flow coming out of the tattle tale on the side of the boat to ensure you have good water flow.
