I think you need to read this article: Lighting Does Strike WaterI never understood why you can't be in the water during a thunderstorm. Fish don't die of lightning strikes. Lightning is more likely to hit surrounding trees than the water itself. If it did hit the water it would be like a bird on a wire, it would go across the surface to ground not through the water to ground leaving the people int eh water safe.
That is one heck of a beard. Well done F.M.
Be careful with those puddle jumpers. They aren't coastguard approved while the vehicle is under way.Got to take out my daughter tonight. First time manning the helm and a toddler solo. She loved every second of it! Dad on the other ha d wished mom was along.

Can you elaborate on that? We have 3 of them aboard and none of the warnings say anything about a conditional approval. They all just say "USCG Approved". Can you point me towards a rule book or reference for that?Be careful with those puddle jumpers. They aren't coastguard approved while the vehicle is under way.
Sorry, I should have been more clear. Your picture with the child in the boat with the puddle jumper on is within USCG limits so long as they stay in the boat while it is underway. It's PWC's and any time that the child is outside of the boat while it is underway that it's not approved for (like when being on a tube). Can you elaborate on that? Ohhhhh..........Yes, that makes perfect sense. We have dedicated vests for watersports, and all occupants are "tested" in the water before they're allowed on a board/tube outside the boat.Sorry, I should have been more clear. edit: so no jetski's, wave runners, etc... and no wake surfing, boarding, skiing, or tubing.
We really love the one we have pictured above -- that we have 3 -- 1 for the boat, 1 for the garage (When we go somewhere not on our the boat) and 1 for my in-laws. It has shoulder straps, which is really rare on these. it mostly just helps everything stay where it needs to be.Ohhhhh..........Yes, that makes perfect sense. Lots of interesting crafts. Was great weather and a great time. We had front row to the race. Next year me and @Paulie are entering some sort of craft in it. Got a year to build it.
