All I have is unprocessed video, After I took the pics I posted already I and everyone else put our phones in the vans we rode to the water in. The lead guide really blew It when he told us to leave everything behind which resulted in us having no food or drinks and the event turning into more of a survival/ endurance rafting trip instead of a relaxing one. The group I ended up with mistakenly thought a meal was included, it wasn’t. The lead guide invited us to drink out of a gallon jug we were all expected to share from, no cups. As soon as one person said they were hungry rafting meant rowing to get to the end, our cars and food faster. Not many people swam and we didn’t take many breaks nor were many open to water fights.
I left home at 1030, We met at 130, were in the water by 2:30 out by 7 and parting ways by 730. After refueling the Vette and stopping for dinner I was home at 1030.
Was it worth it?
Yes, if you are strong enough.
Correction: did I say I had a great time? Scratch that, I had an AWESOME time!
Would I do it again?
In a heart beat knowing that I could just as easily be put into a raft with a bunch of ugly A-holes but next time I’ll bring my son up and hit some class iv rapids.
Closing note, I will contact the rafting company to see if they can put me in touch with the owner of the plastic surgery center, the video I took would be more meaningful for him and his crew than it is for me. Other than overnight rafting trips this is the most expensive rafting I’ve done at just under $100 per person but i did nothing more than show up, best/easiest boating I’ve done in a long time.
