I just looked over Yamaha's waverunners, I was really hoping that they would have something like the SPARK that Seadoo came out with last year. Maybe next year! This year's lowest priced waverunner is $7,699
Anyone want to buy my new 2014 AR240 with less than 10hrs? Still showroom new. Hell...I'll upgrade to a 2015. Wonder what my trade in value will be????....only made one payment so far.
The yamaha boats does says this about it "All new port side entertainment station with convenient beverage center and 3 storage areas including a lockable glovebox and additional space for a cooler, garbage bin or gear bags.
I would imagine they spray foamed the voids in the hull as we talked about years ago. It's great how Yamaha actually listens to what we say here and try to improve their product.
I wonder what float mode is? I can guess, but how many other modes are there. It's on the touchscreen in the 240 video. There are more features not mentioned.
It changes the information displayed when you are at rest.
I'll chime in with my comments. I like the innovations, I dont like the tower at all. Based on the fact it would flush me 15K to upgrade, I love my current boat. I think the lines on the older ones are better looking, minus the fact that they elevated the bow.
That said, I think they did a great job. If I hadn't purchased mine and would need to take a huge depreciation hit, I would have purchased the new one.
Well done Yamaha.... well done. (Now put the old 242 folding tower back on!)

In the video for the 242 series, you can see the engine compartment looks totally shrouded (or mostly)in dampening material....have no idea if a new or different material than years past but I noticed when watching the video the engine compartment seemed extremely dark. Went back and watched it again and noticed the additional dampening.
