I'll tell you that while in Bimini, watching Jared and @Jason Winn drive my Cobra/L13 equipped AR240 was priceless. They were driving like bats out of hell, I could not take any pics during the ride but here is a little clip from when we finally came to stop - everyone looking like they are coming off of a batman roller-caster ride.
The crisp turning feel of the new 240 hulls becomes a race track experience with the Cobras. Albeit the L13s really help with recovery, coming out of turns.
NICE! Did you remove the tower from your AR for the trip? I don't think I'll be able to convince my wife to make the Bimini Run with me... She comes equip with a strong sense of self preservation... but I'm wearing her down.

@J-RAD Actually I heard the trip removed the tower for HIM! sorry couldn't resist but I am glad it all turned out ok must have been a real pucker moment.
Damn... that's serious! I'm going to be fearing for my life every time I hit a wave now... my sense of self preservation has just peaked an all time high.
I already had one of my cable stops detach... don't know how, but I found it sitting in my starboard under-seat storage... the cable itself pulled free of the end fitting in the base of the tower. I ended up fixing it myself with a little ingenuity... but that's not going to stop it from pummeling the back of my skull when it drops unexpectedly. I guess I'm going to be following that thread too. Thanks for the heads up!

Those cable stops don't do anything to stop the tower (if the the lock-knobs were to fail). They do make a cool sound though, when they snap, I think.
The key is to have the lock knobs stay put.
Yamaha has my boat now and they are doing their diagnostics.
